I have factory speakers(for now) and with my sub in, when i turn it up the sub sounds fine but the rear deck speakers pop. To solve this i bought bass blockers, they say to splice into the positive wire, but the factory wires arent marked positive or negative, so which color is which?

hmm I'm not doubting you whatsoever, but why is it like that? Makes sense (at least to me) to keep the light positive

I'm curious as to why this is happening. Have you played with the settings on your amp? You could always "unplug" your rear speakers and save some money.

I know when I put my subs in (many a moon ago).. I was using factory head and speakers.. and never had this problem.

Pretty sure you should let the amp control the bass and the head to control the volume.

Of course.. I tend to be wrong.

Good luck!
