I am NB, Canada and was wondering what percent of tint I am allowed to have on my 2 side windows of my coupe....the back and the quarters are done in 20% I think....I had some people say that I am allowed to go as dark as I want and some say there's a limit to the darkness.....does anyone know for sure? For sure you can go as dark as you want. Tint guys dont recommend it to be too dark or its a safety thing when backing up at night. Although.. I have 20 I believe, and I could have gotten the "Limo tint" which is the darkest tint. So to answer your question, In New Brunswick, you can go as dark as you want.

Ok on this subject kind of, I know my state limit is 25%... but most stores will go lower. Will i really get in trouble for say a 10%?

i just put 5% in all my windows and it looks tuff as nails, but you cant see a thing at night. so im going to put 15% in two side windows.

Uber-Pea, it depends. Are the cops there hardasses? Do you know of anyone else with tint thats darker? You can also ask tint shops if cops really enforce it. Around here cops dont really enforce the whole Front Licence Plate law, and aslong as your doing the speed limit, using your signals, like a good driver... cops wont give you a hard time.. But I believe cops take a light to your tint and if they cant see it well enough, the tint has to come off... I forget how it is now.

A few of my friends have pretty dark tink. I guess ill ask the tint guys. The cops usually arent too bad. But also what about state inspection and stuff like that? Do they check window tint?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I dont think so. lol They just check lights and seatbelts and obvious stuff... In new brunswick, Canada, they check for the glass (cracks and stuff), the horn, windshield wipers, rearview mirror, exhaust, body, lights, brakes, steering and suspension, wheels and tires, and coupling system. but coupling system... isnt even marked on mine so i guess its for big trucks or something.

I was just wondering if anyone else had any problems when they got their windows tinted....my back window looks like crap, because they told me that's just how it is with the dot matrix....I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about this before I accuse them of not knowing what they are talking about....
Thanks!!

... I am fairly sure the windows on either side of the driver cannot have any tint whatsoever ... that is the way it is in NS and I "thought" NB was the same :(

if its a 2 door, then tint can be applied
and ad for the dot matrix, you can fix the main part of it with a black piece of vinyl over top of it. That will fix any problems with that. but the dot matrix will never really stick well.

... well, NB is different than NS they because 2-door or 4-door, doesn't matter ... the law is specific that the windows directly to the right and left of the driver CANNOT be tinted ... you can tint the back windows as much as you want :)

lol yeah. I was told by these tint guys.. and I go there and this civic with 5% tint all the way around pulls out and the guy is like "Dont get any idea's... this guy will get pulled over in a couple days anyway." it was pretty funny. But back to topic, yeah if its 2 door you can tint. I think i might go back there and ask them to lightly tint my 2 front windows.... cops wont know lol

... and I still surprised, NEVER heard of "that" rule before differentiating between a coupe and a sedan

cops harass people nevvvvvvvvver go for dum tickets nevvvvvver lololol yah right. in ohio the limit is 50% on sides and whatever in the back"quarder windows back window" but the driver /passenger must be 50
personally i think thats dum because if they cant see in the rear how do they know if somebody in the back has a gun or not.
the hole tint law is messed up
