Gas hood shocks.

Is it possible to possibly rig up my hood to have gas shocks on it? If anyone has done this. I'm trying to eliminate my hood prop.. I cant stand it...

Ebay has universal kits. My '96 Achieva had them standard. I made my own for the '02 GA.
