Okay, so I'm a moron.
Instead of buying the correct harness, I decided to cut off the factory wiring harness to set up the new Alpine receiver I bought.

I've searched all over the net in need of the speaker wiring schematic on the '05 SE. I've read in a few places that the 05/04/03 all run off the same schematic, but they do not match up (also referring to the links providing in this forum).

Here is what I have and need help matching it to the harness I got with the Alpine:

'05 Grand Am SE:
Black
Black w/ White (thicker wire)
2 light gray
1 tan
1 dk blue
1 white
2 purple
1 orange (thicker wire)
2 dk green
2 light green
2 dk brown
1 pink
1 lt blue

I've tried a few different configs on just trying to get the power to the Alpine, to no avail.
I'm usually pretty good with these things, but I'm stuck on this one - and the wife is pretty pissed she's gotta drive around with a big hole in the dash.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

your almost screwed if u didnt buy the adapter, cuz then you loose your warning chimes. you should buy the adapter, its about 100 dollars. head to the junk yard and get the original wiring.

It's a 2005 vehicle. why did you HACK the harness?! you could have saved yourself so much work if you bought the propper harness.

I said it before. and I'll say it again. Do it right, or don't do it at all. Thats why there are professioinals and car audio shops.

I know I screwed up...that's why I came in here in hopes of some help to fix it.
I know all about the chime adapter from using it in my '03 GT....I'd rather it be silent then listen to that ANNOYING chime.

I'm not asking for any hand-holding - I just need assistance with the correct speaker wiring schematic so I can match up the wires.

Sorry for the trouble...I know this was a stupid move on my part.

Radio 12v = orange
Radio Ground = black and black/white
Radio Ignition = (Class 2 Serial Data)
Radio Illumination = brown
Factory Amp Turn-on = dk. green
Power Antenna N/A
LF Speaker = tan + / gray -
RF Speaker = lt. green + / dk. green -
LR Speaker = brown + / yellow -
RR Speaker = dk. blue + / lt. blue -

You will need to run your own switched 12v wire to the deck.
