I wasn't sure what forum to post this in, so I figured the main forum is as good as any.
Has anyone ever used the Tripledge Silicon Wiper Blades? I recently installed a set on my 2002 GAGT and they make this horrible squealing sound when I use my wipers. They also have a habit of "skipping" across the windshield as the windshield dries.
My blades also move at a much slower pace, even at the fastest setting. I think the blades are too sticky.
Has anyone else had these problems? Is there anything I can do to alleviate this?

Its putting too much load on the wiper motor. I would remove them, or the motor may burn out.

they seem to be the waste of money just like the dual blades? Just get a regular set recomended for your car, it works fine.

you might want to try wiping them with the stuff that coems with them, should be a little packet of soemthin or other that'll moisten em up a bit, maybe.

I have always had good luck with the plain ol Trico blades (in the blue and yellow box). They are cheap and look good too. Of course I keep all my glass coated with frequent coats of RainX, so I dont use the wipers very much anyway.

How often do you have to apply Rain-X?

I usually put it on every other month or so. Can be done more often, but after a few months the "beading" effect starts to go away.

Well, thanks for all the advice guys. I took them off and gave them to my roommate, who needed new blades for his Civic anyways.
They seemed to work fine with his car, so maybe I do need to just lubricate my windows a little before trying new blades.
The reason I bought the Tripledge blades is because they're guaranteed for life and you can get them replaced for free!
They were only $7 a piece, so next time I'm around WalMart, I'll jsut pick up another set and make sure to put some Windex on my windshield before running the wipers.
I hear you guys on that RainX stuff. It works miracles! I've been using it on all my cars since I was 16.

When wiper blades work too well and dry the winshield too much, they squeak and skip over parts of the windshield. weird. But I do find RainX helps with that too because it's really slippery stuff.

Nah. I just use paper towels. You have to let your first coat haze over and then reapply another coat. Make sure your windows are clean first!
I usually do the front windshield with one coat and then go to the back windshield to apply a coat. By the time I am done with the rear windshield, the front windshield is ready for the second coat.
Removing the haze is like buffing shoes. I take a CLEAN paper towel and start buffing, applying pressure to really get the haze off. I apply really thick coats of RainX so my arms are usually tired after removing the haze. After removal, my windows are crystal clear.
You can also try using a hose or a pitcher of water to remove the excess RainX.

Unfortunately on the highway the blades start to lift up off of the windshield. I would recommend getting rid of them. Not too good at high speeds.
