Long time no visit, so I figured I stop by and say :hi:
First of all, I got the 500 mile break in done on my Quad 4 HO rebuild and yes I finally got to open it up. I must admit they are quick for little 4 bangers. It get's up to 80-90 without a sweat and still has plenty more to go! The acceleration isn't like my V8 Mustang, (low end torquer), but does get up there fast if you want it to.
I also just taught my son how to drive a standard drive so guess what he's been driving lately. Of course I still take out the GA and play with it, but most of my non-working time is being focused on finishing my GT6 so I can get into more autocross driving.
This GA GT was a neat project and I must admit that once you start to dig into them and sort out all the little electrical gremlins they make nice running cars.
Thanks for the advice that some of you offered back when I first bought the car with a dead motor.
regards,
Roy (Toyguyz)
