extra wire on monitor

i got 3 wires a red black and blue. red being positive, black ground but what about the blue is it a remote or what? and what do i hook it up to? if its a remote can i just put it to ground or what. thanks ahead of time.

It is most likely the remote wire. That would be tied into the 12v line (probably with a switch) if thats what you really want. I would probably find a manual or something to make sure though.
