Well I went and pick up some touch up paint but woke up to snow. Its melted now but still to cold to use the touch up. What prep steps should I take? Just wash it really good? Also someone was leaning on my car the other day and scratched the glass with his coat. Nothing big but you can see it when the light hits it right. I try rubbing it but it didn't work. ???

is it rusty? maybe remove the rust with some sandpaper. as for glass scratches... not much you can do with that... the 99+ Ga's weatherstripping gets sand in it, and scratches the crap out of the windows lol. It doesnt need to be that warm to use touchup... i did it at 34 - 39 degrees or so and it worked fine.

Now this maybe sound strange but in a couple of spots theres water under the paint??? WTF right? I pressed on one of the bubbles and water came out. I was think I could just cut out the bubble with a razor and use the touch up paint. There not big at all. My cars dark metalic green and and I try to get the paint code off the back of the trunk thing but when I brought it into the auto parts store the guy say it had rubbed off. lol He said it was Dark polo green. I put a little on paper and it look the same.

yeah. maybe buy that duplicolor spray, and sand it, then spray it... mask everything else off... or else save up 1000 bucks at the most, and sand it all down and do it all yourself (bondo, etc) and take it to a painter to have it painted a color you like lol depends on what you wanna do.... probably would take awhile before you got it painted. i know for a fact, that a guy had a 92 civic painted metallic blue for 600 bucks cuz he did all the work himself.... then spilled alcohol all over his car

If the paint is bubbling with water under it, you can almost bet theres rust under there too. so expect it, and if you dont find any, you are very very lucky. But you can almost bet on rust

yes. better now than later, because its just going to build more and more rust.

I guess I'm must be lucky. Only one had rust and I scraped that away with the razor. Ones really small like half the size of your pinky nail. Can I use touch up on that? The other is about the size of a nickel.

use the touchup paint. aslong as the surface is free of rust.

its tedious, but I used touch-up paint on a spot bigger than a quarter before... it wont look right if thats what you mean, but it will work.

Your paint had faded. Mine was just a little darker. On big scratches I wiped away the excess from around the scratch so it didn't look bad.

Some guy up here bashed into someones ride and took off. Dumbass didn't realize that when he hit the guy his license plate fell off. lol I could help but think he must have used zip tie or something to hold it on. The chance of that. Unlucky dumbass.

Whats that got to do with the topic? oh well. You should buy the spray paint rather than brush, if the touch up area is too big.

I was thinking it might be easier to use the touch up to fill in the whole and then spray over it. But what if the sprays darker to? That would look shtty.

What touch up paint did you get? I believe your car is the same color as mine so I was wondering what you got. I need to pick some up for my little scratches.
