OK guys and gals I finally got things squared away after my wheel incident. So I'm finally going to start on a system for my GT.
My partially updated system components:
2- 12 inch Beastmaster sub woofer
Amps- cadence ZRS series
mids/highs -undecided for the time being.
amp for mids/highs-undecided for the time being.
My main focus is getting sub setup ready for cruisefest '06 db drag so what I'll only have bass but don't care.

umm, bro.... where is the amp for your highs? they arent going to be able to keep up with two 15's without an amp! lol
otherwise, seems good. dont really need a cap but since ur getting a second battery and a high output alternator (dont forget to get a battery isolator) you should be fine.
and no your not crazy...
and yes, u have plenty of calculations to do, i could not get a dual 15" box to fit in my car, i tried.... i would have to do some serious cutting. maybe if you have each sub in its own box they could be squeezed in but i dont know.
take some cardboard, fashion up some cubes the size of your box, and see if it will fit!

yeh, my one ported box for my 15 is gonna be around 5 cubes external volume...f'in huge. but i need the volume to get a good sq from the driver and to let it have its best extension.
and dont forget to amp those highs, otherwise the subs will drown them out, dampening is a good idea too.

I haven't got too far into yet still looking through Memphis car audio web site and haven't picked one yet. Thanks for the advice.

Nope but it just a start I will probably change my mind. I'll Most likely go with Cadence sound (http://cadencesound.com) equitment.

Their speakers are nice my friend is a sale their stuff at his shop. That probably the equipment I'll use for my install because I like going to Db drags and that what he uses in his vehicles and has won many time with the same pieces I am gonna be using.

You're def. not going to fit 2 15's in the back of a GA without making huge modifications to the trunk... You're going to need a hell of a lot of air space to get 2 sounding right... Why are you going the 15" route, anyway? Do you want that much bass?

If you're really going to go with that much bass, not only should you look into an amp for the mids and highs, but you're probably not going to be happy with 4x6s in the front. If you're going for an all SPL system, then that's fine, but you may want to look into some 5.25 or 6.5 components. Just my opinion.

Yeah, I found that out earlier today after taking cardboard and making a template so I'm going with 12's instead.

My friend told me the same thing. I also have been drawing up some different setups.

I have updated part of my list. My car will be going to the shop some time in the next to months for the install be cause my friend is a genius at sound systems, after I get my motor swap buttoned up and my 18' are on.

why are you so set on having 2 subs? i'd take one 15 in a huge box over 2 12s in a medium size box :D and i think you could fit 2 15s in if you done some fancy fiberglassing.

Memphis car audio 6x9's and 4x6's
2- Memphis M1-15's dual voice coil subwoofers
2- Memphis 4000x1 class D subwoofer amps with bridging module
Uh, aren't those M1s rated for like 300W RMS max a peice? If that's the 4000W Memphis I'm thinking of, that will easily blow the M1s to smitherenes, LOL. That's senseless. For that amp you're going to need like four MOJOs LOL. M1s are not going to cut it (with that amp I mean). Honesly that amp with 2 M1s is going to set your voice coils on fire. :roll2:
Also running 6x9s is not really desireable; and 4x6s??? Are you mad? That's more senselessness, LOL.

I do plan on adding a second battery and larger alternator.
I ceratainly hope so. Those 4000W RMS are not going to be facilitated by a silly little capacitor and stock (105A cold) alternator--you'll definitely need a beefed up electrical system to support that badboy.

I've got some calculations to do.
Later.
I'm starting to think the same thing. One you didn't do any calculations and two you really need to do some, LOL
EDIT: Wait I missed the part where you said you plan on getting two MCD4KWs??? Okay 8000W RMS and you think you might need to upgrade your electrical system? Memphis requires a seriously upgraded electrical system to run/warranty even one MCD4KW nevermind two... :roll2:
Is there something I'm missing here? Is that listing a joke or something? Because it's painfully funny. Excuse me while I LMAO
How on earth can you put two 300W RMS subs on 8000W RMS? Also how could you then speculate that you might need an electrical upgrade to run two 4kW amps? And 4x6s? Okay wait now I know this is a joke.

Actually I am not even using anything from Memphis any more.My friend and have been busy designing something different using Cadence sound subs and components for my install. the setup isn't completed yet still working on the box on the C.A.D. system.

I hope you plan on getting an alarm, especially since you just got jacked..

Yeah I plan on getting an alarm that will actully be first on my list. but no need for it right now I haven't even bought any thing for system yet I still working on my motor swap.

and i thought that a 15" arsenal, rainbow componets, one us amps amp (for the componets), and an mtx mono amp (for the sub) was a big/nice setup. and how are you posibly gonna compete at a db drag with a ga, i just dont see the potential, maybe a sq comp.

What is it your actually going to use here so I can understand this a little bit better.. cause at the moment I'm getting that your going to use a sub that 300 max with a 4000 amp? not only will that set the bitch on fire but will it blow fire as well... so just recap for me here so I can understand this a little bit better.

Iam using 2 Cadence 12 inch BEASTMASTER subs
ZRS series amp and other mics. components for the best quility sound. I have seen almost the same setup in the back of a 94 SE some time last year.

....
The more you go on about this, the less I'M starting to believe you...
How much total money do you have to spend on a system? Are you honestly telling me that you might spend MORE on this install and subs and amps and components and the big 3 than you most likely paid for your car???? Those subs are $700 a PIECE. Then, anywhere from $900-1100 for the single amp to push your subs (and if you're using a single one, I guess we're looking at the 1100 amp)...
I dunno man... I honestly think you know nothing about car audio and are just making this all up. By the end of this install, if you actually do it, you're going to be in like the 5-7 GRAND range... If this is true, good luck with also getting a new freaking kick ass security system to keep this all in...

I don't care if you believe me or not so what if I spend more money on my system than I did the car I don't buy everything at once, I can't afford to buy it all at once.I buy a piece at time and put it up until I have everything I need. I 'll admit I don't know shit about car audio, why do you think the car is going to my friend's shop for the install.

ok i'm not sure if i missed something on this thread or what but i didn't see anything about 2 15's in the original post i saw 2 12's but no 15's i dunno, maybe something was deleted i didn't get to see. anyway cadence is a great company especially for their amp's. subs are ok, i have owned cadence beasts they hit pretty hard but not quality. they were all over the place. if u lookin for quality stuff u have to be willing to spend $$$. if u just want to spend enough for win a db drag i would recomment going with MTXThunder 9000. louder than a W7, u 12's of those in ur car u will need that extra battery and a HO alternator def. as well as 0gauge hot and ground for the amp(s). its not really a good idea to mix and match amps and subs and mids/highs. Every company make certain products for their own certain products, remember just because it says "500 watts" doesn't mean it is 500 watts i could be more or less by a lot. if ur lookin to spend more quality money check out rockford fosgate. more of their high-end equipment. there's so much stuff out there i could go forever. good luck with gettin ur stuff and hookin it up!
