Has any used RAAMmat BXT? (http://www.raamaudio.com) It is rated as the best overall from the Sound Deadener Showdown. Just wondering what your experiences are with that company/product. Also, to get rid of the trunk lid rattle, is just doing the trunk lid enough to get rid of that, or do I need to do other areas as well? Also, does a piece on the back of my license plate help with that rattle?

Forever and a day ago.. I took a piece of foam.. like from a couch cushion and put it behind my plate. It never came out.. never wore out and never let the plate rattle again. ;)

they make very good sound deadeners, i would only use raamaudio, second skin, or if i can line up a good discount, dynomat extreme.

does your trunk have a wing on it? if so, tighten that down, its probably making most of what your hearing.

if i were u id deaden the whole trunk (when i stop being lazy im going to do my whole car)

the easiest fix for the license plate is some foam, but you can probably just roll up a couple small pieces of deadener and shove it into place, just need to stop the plate from smacking the car. screw it down well too

well PM me if you find one. I think I am goign to go that route most likely.

back in the day on my GA (unintentional rhyme) I had a piece of cardcoard cut out the size of my plate that I just bolted on behind it. Worked alot better than expected.

I think I will start out with the trunk lid and see where that gets me, and hopefully I have enough leftover to do my plate. Maybe the rest of the trunk later. I REALLY want to upgrade subs/amp but I knwo I will regret it if I don't do a soudn deadener first because my el cheapo system rattles it plenty.

I did the carboard thing, but then it got wet :banghead: But I'm not too worried about it any more because I got rid of the system. My new problem is that I shook the back shelf so much that it squeaks goin over bumbs.

I've heard if you have 100+ posts on car audio forums (sounddomain, maybe caraudio and the others) you get a discount from raamat. Not sure but when you order you might want to mention it. I think raamat is the road that I am going to take as well

Well, I won't let that be a deciding factor. If I go to order and cen get that, I will consider it a bonus

Ahh, just go to the website and send an email to the guy that runs the business (Rick) and tell him you're on SoundDomain as whoever you are and ask him if he can give you a little bit of a better price.

IIRC, I got a discount like that which was quite nice (bought a roll of Raamat 60 some time ago). Post count on SD didn't matter though I probably had near 1000 it wasn't important. It wasn't a huge discount or anything, so don't expect anything like that... Only a few bucks but definitely cool of him to do so. In any case Raamaudio products really are competitively priced as it is, and they are very good as you can see from compairisons and testimonials, I'm sure.

Rick has great products and great customer service and I'm sure you can read thousands of reviews/testimonials that say the same :)
