Hehe well here's a little tease pic from today. Next weekend I am going to be doing the same to the cabin and doors as what I did this weekend to my trunk and rear deck, then covering it in 75 sq. ft. of eDead v1SEČ, ought to be interesting! And for those who haven't checked out what I did this weekend, here's a link to it link (http://www.gaownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57127)

it'll be done well. It ached my ears driving an hour back to school tonight on the wet roads. Has anyone taken the shifter off before or know a way to get underneath it? I'd hate to go around it and doubt I can go underneath it as is. I also have some spray sound dampening I want to use, I figured I would just lay that down first and there shouldn't be a problem stick wise, but what if I were to go ontop of it instead/also?

What is it your doing to your interior I think Im missing something here.

Well I'm debating, a layer of spray dampening, dynamat like material, then another lay or spray dampening or something of that mixture. Basically to cut road noise and to improve acoustics

Your gonna add a ton of weight with 3 layers of sound dampening material... and i dont know HOW road noise could be that loud... I say 1 layer of spray, then dynamat on top of it at most.

the spray is very light, much like spray paint. The 75 sq ft. of eDead v1SEČ ends up being around 35 lbs. Distributed throughout the car it's not bad at all. While I'm doing it I might as well do it well. I'm thinking of getting a alpine type-x in the summer, in which case I'd like to have it.

I'd suggest holding off on the spray for the hard to reach areas. The sound deanender may have a hard tome sticking to it, if the surface if sprayed first. At least thats what I've come accross.I don't see a little area below the shifter being an issue for alot of noise to come through. if your covering 99;9% of the interior with the sound deadener, you should be alright. While your at it, I'd drop the headliner and put some on the underside of the roof. as wel las the door pannels.

idk, I've really come to like this spray. I've been wondering the same thing as to if it would stick. It's def going on the doors as well, and more than likely 100% of the trunk. Garrr one way or another I'd love to get a layer of the spray on as well. As for the shifter, what do you think? Just unbolt it?

yea that's what I think I am going to be doing. I was looking on this site last night and that's how this guy did it. http://www.rtol.net/scornell/dynamat.htm

Finally got a few pics up. Not 100% pleased with the product (next time would prolly give raamat a shot) but it does do the job. We'll see how it holds up!

it is kinda hard to see from the last set of pics but if you look at the floor and front doors I covered them in eDead stuff.

looks good. i did the same but with dynamat extreme. ive heard that this cheap stuff will melt in the summer and in the doors it goops up at the bottom.

either way, looks like youre doing a pretty good job. i agree to save the spray for the hard to get areas. if you want to be more effective...put a layer of fleece down over the dmaping material. use 3M super spray glue to glue it down, then remove the insulation from the stock carpet. itll really help a lot.
