A claybar (Mother's or Zaino) will take them off easily. I have some of those spots on my rear bumper right now. I had some on my front bumper in January, but it warmed up a bit so I clayed my car then. Took them right off without any exertion. Going to be doing it again in a couple of weeks and then apply about six coats of Zaino.

Clay bars are availible at Pep Boys, Auto Zone, anywhere...just look around. I was kind of scared to use it myself, but I tried it out on my old truck first, and it made a world of difference. Just make sure ya keep the area you are working with lubed with quick detailer or whatever product the directions recommend. It does make a difference....soooo smooth! It takes awhile to do, but no more than it takes to wax your car. Of course you have to wax the car after using the clay bar, so it does take some time.

The little rust spots you see on your paint is called fallout. Each company offers a one year warranty on this problem. Fallout is really acid rain. It occurs mostly in the winter because of all the snow on the ground which then turns to water which in turn splashes on your car. I suggest you wash your car often in the winter.
When I first took my car to the dealer, they told me that they acid dip the effected area. The way I fix this is to use compound on the effected area and then wax the area right after. This will always remove it but requires alot of work.
The fallout happens on the lighter colours such as white silver. I hope this helps and good luck
