What's your opinioins and ideas about turboing a 2.5?
Just something that never was discussecd here.

well i would like to run a turbo 2.5 , think of the gain our engines would recieve, even my fiance suggested a 2.5 in her fiero.
anyways i would back the idea 100%

BAD IDEA, ok so heres the deal with turboing your 2.5, the stock rods and pistons are no good for anything above 125hp, so once you do a turbo project, you need a new block within a week. Its unfortunate, but if you were to try you would have trouble finding internal parts. including crank and rods, pistons wouldnt be hard. Check out the fiero store and its links about the 2.5 there is a guy there with several turbo 2.5s out rusting in the junk yard due to bad rods.
Special case. Johhny Macintyre did put a super charger on his 2.5 with good success, but it cost him a bundle to get the engine up to specs. I dont know where he went, he used to stop by here, but not in a long time.

The other day i was at the junk yard an found a turbo emblem on the ground. So i took it an put it on my 89' grand am. so now on the back of my car it says PONTIAC GRAND TURBO !!! thats about as close to a turbo as iam gonna get in my lil 2.5 .

Well I know that someone is doing a turbo kit for the fiero that sales all of the parts that you need to keep it running. I don't know about the boost or the reilablity but it should be good.

I've heard alot of talk about a turbo 2.5 for the Fiero, but never saw anything about it. I want to actually see something now. lol
