GM Protection Plan

I've only had my car for a little over a year and a half, but i received a special invitation to purchase an extended warranty from GM. I figured it was a good deal. I got 4 years and 40,000 miles of protection for only $990.00. This is GMs best extended warranty called Major Guard. Now i only have 10500 miles on my car, and my factory warranty will run out on time way before the miles do.

I was just wondering how many of you purchased and extended warranty and if you have used it at all. I'm hoping i don't have to use it but if i do then at least I'm covered.

I purchased an extended warranty when I bought my GT1 last July. It isn't the G.M. one though.... So far, I have used it a few times. I had my front brakes done; the front swaybar and bushings replaced (because of creaking noises); and my factory radio w/ CD & graphic equalizer was replaced because of that volume control problem... I'll be taking the car in for inspection soon, as I still have that damn annoying creaking front end that many Grand Am's get. I think they'll replace struts and mounts.
That's all so far..... If I get the visit from Mr. LIM, I hope it is within my two year coverage, lol..... So far no sign of LIM, but we know that is most likely coming someday....:lol:

I bought a 60K mile on mine, used it a few times... I'm just over 57K right now and I have a rental cause it's back at the dealership :)
