Need to adjust my passengerside headlight. The driver's side is head on and is brighter then then the pass side due to it not being aligned right. Where on the assembly do I adjust? I tried tightning and loosening some small hex nut bolts, moved some but didn't move enough. The bulbs are in right, can't really screw that up.

Our headlights are actually 'assemblies' having the reflective plastic rear, the clear plastic front, and assorted bulbs.
See those projecting 'nipples' on the clear plastic?
They are specially placed so that a Pontiac dealer can apply a special aiming device.
It's almost IMPOSSIBLE for the headlight assembly to become 'unadjusted', unless there has been some body damage.
If the beam seems 'out of adjustment', chances are that the bulb was replaced wrong, or with the wrong model.
This puts the glowing filament off-center in the reflector and causes the beam to shine astray.
Remove the bulb, compare it to the other bulb. If correct, try reinstalling it carefully so that its correctly positioned.
The adjustment screws are tricky, and hidden deep within the front end to PREVENT peeps like you and me from messing with the damned thing.
If you DO have some body damage, then go ahead and adjust the plastic assembly:
* Open the hood.
* Examine the plastic assembly. On the top edge, there are tw large plastic flanges molded toward the rear.
* Look behind and below each flange, and you'll see the end of a threaded metal rod about 3/16" diameter.
* In the rearward end of that rod is a hole to receive a 'Torx' bit, about #6 or 8 I think.
* You stick the Torx driver in from BEHIND the sheet metal that supports the radiator.
* Adjust BOTH rods for up-down alignment, and adjust one or the other for left-right adjustment of the beam.
Like I said, it's rare that the assembly is misaligned, so check the bulb first.
Only fiddle with the adjustment screws/rods if necessary.
Good luck.

messed with the small adjustment rods, moves a little bit but doesn't get to the point where it matches the driver's side. From head on the driver's side low beam is much brighter. I'll keep messing with the bulbs, make sure they ARE in correct and not cok-eyed or anything
Thanks Rick:)
