well this has to deal with the body of my car, but im sure if it is the right olace, but here goes. it may sound like stupid, but this is really starting to get on nerves. So recently my car has been under attack by bugs. tons of them. Either nats or mosquitos. Ill get in my car from work and my car will covered in them and it is right after i washed it. I'm thinking it is because my car is white and is kind of bright in color. Has anyone else expericned this and is there a way to get them to not stay on my car. would spraying but repelent on my car work or damage the paint?

 Bug repellant will not work. They are not being attracted to the car... they are just randomly flying around and you're hitting them. You'd go splat and get stuck too if a car hit you at highway speeds.

The usual waxes and protectants can only do so much... you will still get bugs stuck if you live in an area where the bug concentration is high during certain seasons. Some people get those bug screens to put over the front during that time of year.

he's not talking splattered bugs, he's talking bugs being attracted to it. Alive and just hanging out on the car...It's happened to my dad's car too. I think it had to do with the soap he used when he washed it...the scent (along with the white) attracted them...crazy stuff. :)

try changeing the type of soap that you use. DON'T spray it with repellent...it may mess with the paint over the long run.

last time i washed it used the stuff my dad has in the garage. i think it was blue coral. thats what i use to use when i had my corsica, but now that i have good car that runs i should probably use a higher quality soap and treat the GA like it should be treated, haha.

I use Blue Coral...I think it's decent stuff. As long as you wax regularly you could use anything (within reason ;))
