2.0L turbo in Sunbird

OK, I have a question? My sunbird has a 2L Over Head Cam, with throttle body fuel injection, and it's blown. I happened to find from an 87 GA, (not mine, my GA has 2.5L) with the 2L turbo in it. I was just wondering if anyone know's for sure if I can put it in or not. I ask just because 1990 Sunbird SE's like mine came in either the 2L OHC, or the 2L turbo.

Another thing I've heard about is that an automatic 2L motor can't go in a Standard sunbird. Is this true????:???:

Im sure you could put that motor in your car. i dont see why not. Might have to do some modifications like moving motor mounts, the tranny might not bolt up so you have to keep the tranny with the motor. You can do anyhting with a car if you have the inspiration, desire and sometimes money to do so. Anything your imagination wants can be done. I didnt know they had the turbo motor in the sunbird in 90, i heard they were only used in 87 and 88. Anyhoo that doesnt matter. About the switching form standard to auto, im sure you can. I dont see why not. you'll have a hole where the shifter goes, it will have to be recut so it can fit the auto shifter, nothing a welder and an hour cant fix. But im not totally sure of what your asking. Anyways, my girlfriend has a 91 sunbird and when she gets back in town i'll have a look to see if the turbo motor can bolt up in your car. Ill look at the mounts and such. Shes supposed t get back in a week or so. ill let you know.

So ive finally got a good look at my girlfriends car. Its ahd some problems. Anyhoo, the 2.0L is the exact same motor. It has the same mounts from what i can tell anyways. Should work.
