Interesting... but all of that info is coming from a site that sells extended warranties. Hmmm.

I'm a victim :(
My timing chain is started to make some wierd noises (my model grand am is known for having premature timing chain failures)
I bring it in cause it says Timing chains are covered on warranty - just to find out it only covers it if it BREAKS COMPLETELY! LOL if it broke completely, my whole engine would be screwed so yeah.....

I don't know what kinda site it is. I posted it just to let all you know that these warranties exist.

To the person with the timing chain problem.
If it is making noise then it is broken. So they are just buying time, so the warranty runs out. You better get some kinda action going on it before the warranty is run out.
Just tell the dealer that if nothing is gona be done then you plan to contact the news media. TV etc. Do a search for lemon laws.
If they won't fix it. Then they have to buy it back.
