i am looking into a 94 ga 5speed for a project car i believe it has a 2.3 quad 4 not a ho or anything but the head is cracked he only wants 500 for the car and it appears to be in good shape....i want to get it and get a ho topend for it and make it a fast lil ga....i already have extreme lightening mods to put to a car....such as plexiglass windows, i found if you tint the plexiglass you can't even tell....a/c removal i'll figure out a way to take it all off...let me know your feelings on a 94 ga as a project street racer

There is really no aftermarket for the 2.3L DOHC. No s/c or turbo. However, Matt did a custom s/c on his 2.3L HO. The 2.3L will not be a good street car IMO

If it's not the HO I wouldn't bother... the only other 5-speed in 94 is on the SOHC... which wouldn't exactly suit racing needs.

I disagree. Just because there's no "bolt-on" SC or turbo doesn't mean there's no aftermarket. There's plenty of internal parts out there for a build-up. I've seen some impressive normally aspirated setups too. Not a good street car? Mine holds it's own on the street, and is mild-mannered enough to drive to work or on a long road trip.

Find a 89 or 90 GA with a 5 spd and HO. Hard to do I know but those would be even better, less weight to begin with. I know of a black one near me, body is rotting but I still might purchase it this or next year.
