does anyone have any insight on the new 2.4l vvt motor? i went to the dealership today and was looking into the pursuit gt, it comes with the 2.4 vvt, its pretty smooth revving and its got some power
171 hp
163 tq
anyone know anything about this motor? other than they use it for the solstice?

lol thats awesome.. umm.. i learned that very late last nite lol... i've been doing a lot of reading.. and im getting the car.. but now i gotta sell my grand am. but i love it.. sooooo much, but theres no where to park it, so... its gotta go

The 2.4L ecotec is totaly different then the 2.4L twin cam (quad4)

yea.. one has vvt and one does.. and one has bout 20 more torque and hp.. im picking up my new pursuit gt on monday afternoon.. i just have to go get insurance papers signed. i'll let you guys know how it is

thuis should be moved as it has no reference to the LD9 "TWIN CAM" engine whatsoever.

It isn't like the LE5 has its own section here, but yes the L61 (2.2L Ecotec) is a much closer relative (the LD9 is really not a "relative" at all, lol) and even that would be a more appropriate section I suppose...

just thought id let you guys know.. i bought the car.. leasing it acutally. i love it. its quick, but its also brand new and i havent pushed it even a lil lol... and its sooo stiff and smooth its a really great ride.. good to see it looks much better than the sunfire, which if im correct it is what replaced it
