Attention: 18" wheel owners!

So, in my effort to resolve my dilemma of 18" rims or 17" rims, I am taking a survey.

Have you 18" wheel owners ever had major problems with road hazards?

Anyone ever burst a tire running over a pothole with 18" rims?

I lieve in Southern California, where potholes aren't nearly as bad as back East, but I'd like to hear from drivers all over the counrty with 18s.

Feel free to post any problems you have faced with 18s.

Bent 2 rims at the same time (passenger front and rear) on the same pothole but both tires were fine.

wow... I vaguely remember this incident after you got those rims....

What was it that you hit, Mike? How fast were you going?

There is this one gnarly section of uneven pavement on the I-5 in San Diego that has me particularly concerned.
