1/4 mi on '00 GT

What do the '00 ram air v6 ga gt's run in the 1/4? I looked around and couldn't find anything so if any of you know post it up.

im not sure about right from the factory, but i have a new exahust, cold air intake, and a few odds and ends and i run the 1/4 in about 10.8

i saw 2 GA GT's run 16 flat in the quarter mile, they both were 3400 and they both had a cold air intake

k i got a question.. about altitude and temp.. is higher altitude better? im guessing not but im still wondering.. and i know .. the colder the better.. why else do guys pop their hooods and put cold water on their engines?

lower altitude is mucho better and its not only cold air, its dry cold air thats best

Actually thats not the reason at all.
The real reason is that air density at higher altitudes is thinner. The thinner the air, the less oxygen avalible pre unit of air. The less oxygen into the motor, the less fuel it can burn and less power it will make.

Given the same weather, dry day, say 85 degrees with 10% humidity.
A car that runs 15.5 at sealevel may run a might turn a 15.8 at 2000' above sealevel.

I wasnt explaining why the lower altitude is better, just for the part about weather ;) BTW 10.8 in the 1/8 is slow for a 3400, its like 10 flat or at least low low 10s

Yeah but 10's?? Rob (IrateGT) has a supercharger and is only running 14's(ish)... even with a few other odds & ends I am not thinking 10.8 :rolleyes:

id say bs man.. even with nitrous ( perhaps 75 hp) and supercharger ( 60hp )... your car is still heavy as hell.. 3100 lbs aint light ya know? id say he will also need headers, Up and Low manifolds, CAI, Exhaust, damn.. what else.. hmm.. did he say chip? id say youd have to be running 375+hp for 10's. seriously i doubt you can get the GA to run 10's without pretty much redoing the engine or it would be a ton cheaper to do it that way. hey.. whats the mustang gt cobra with 305Hp run? the GT is similar in weight as a GA

I believe you. Anything is possible with $$$$. And 19 year old kids can have family money to dump into the car. But I'm just wondering why in your first post you only mentioned the "new exhaust and CAI and a few other odds and ends"? Later you revealed that the other odds and ends were a supercharger, NOS, and "board heads" whatever that is, and "lots of other mods". Intercooler on a supercharger? Wow.

I'd still like to see some pics if you have any. Just pop the hood and click away and email to me if you can. I'd like to get my car to 10.8 as well.

show some proof! pictures are worth a thousand words! alos a few time slips would be good! and if your running 10s what kind of tranny mods do you have no way in hell a stock tranny will take a 10 second run. and last i knew there wasnt a kit to strengthen a tranny in the ga!
