I saw in an ad a Grand AM GT with 185,000 kilometers for $2,995. Does that sound reasonable to you? I'm gonna take a look at it and if it all checks out I'm making it into a project car. Putting bolt ons on it and possibly even a SC or turbo one day.

Anyway does that sound reasonable to you guys.

I'd say the price is a little high for that amount of KMs and a 10 year old car, but it all depends on what they're selling for in your area.

As a project car as well, that's a pretty worn engine to be adding things like forced induction.

Yeh it does sound sorta high I'm gonna haggle it down as much as I can. Nah I won't be using that engine. I have an everyday car which is why I want something with a good body. I figure why not a GT body.

I'm planning to swap in a 3400. With some new pistons. Rebuild the heads with all the goods. That sorta thing, I figure I'll learn a lot without risking my everyday driver. A lot of research is needed. Don't ask me the details yet this might fall thru.

Anyway what should this thing be worth?

I just checked the Black Book values, and for the car, assuming it's a V6 2-door model, is "Low: $872.00; High: $2,971.00". So the price of $3000 doesn't seem that unreasonable, assuming it is in decent shape, both mechanically and body-wise.

Well it's a 4Dr, with everything except leather and sunroof. I gotta look at it on the weekend. From the pics it looks clean but I gotta check on the firewall and so on.

I made sure to look for one without a sunroof. I'm paranoid about leaks and or if it breaks open, seen it happen too many times.
