Have you guys seen or heard or even used this? Its called Engine restore and suposeably coats your cylinder walls and bearings(you mix it with your oil). It supposeably picks up lost compression and power. I am not looking to use it to get more HP, i would just like my engine to perform at best again. My dad saw the stuff and said i should return it. He says it only makes your oil thicker and forces your engine to work harder so it seems like your getting more power. I was just wondering if anyone else knows anything about this stuff. This month's Superstreet has a few testimonials about it, but those can be faked pretty easily.

Foces you engine to work harder to seem like it makes more power!??! WTF is that supposed to mean!?! It does more than that. I t has some big long name chemical in it that really does lubricate well... And when I first bought My Z28 is would puff put a little smoke when I romped on it.. put some of that in there, and it stopped.

Whats in this stuff, its not another zmax is it, cause colored mineral oil aint so good for your engine. I have no idea what is in engine restore though can someone please enlighten me to its chemical compounds?

When I had my motor rebuilt I asked the mechanic about Power Punch. He said that Quads have kind of small oil ports to start with. You don't want to add any thing that will thicken up the oil too much.
But I put Power Punch in a lawn mower that started blowen smoke to where it would choke you to walk along with it. After adding the stuff it quit smoking and I got another season out of it. Then one day the Rod stated knocking and it froze up. I also got about another 20 hours out of a old tiller using it.
The bottle it comes in says I quart for a oil change. But I just add like a cup. It makes the oil slick as snot, get a bit on your finger checking the oil. You can rub your fingers together for ever.
My grandpa used Reslone it's about the same thing as the restore stuff, been around about as long.

It happened three years ago, dude.
It's in de past
As for Slick 50, Duralube, Engine Restore, and some other additive companys. The last I heard....most of those companys were in the middle of law suits because of false advertising. (i think)
