Scuffed paint

I searched on this but didn't fnd quite what I'm looking for.

My car is silver and has some scuffs & scratches on the hood.

What is the best method for handling this?

photos will help, as it depends on how bad it is as to how it should be fixed. If it's minor, I'd guess theyll tell you to buff it out, and maybe touch up the scratches:)

can you feel them with your finger nails? If they are that deep, you need touchup paint or the areas repainted.

If they are just scuffs then some rubbing compound should take them out. If you cant do it by hand, i would take it to a detail shop and have them buff the marks out.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll check for the depth tomorrow. I suspect I can feel them with my nails, but I'll verify.

I had been thinking rubbing compound, but with today's finishes (base coat/clear coat) I wasn't sure if that was the way to go.

Be very careful with rubbing compound its possible to make it worse.
