Well my mom and dad have decided to trade in the 01 Caddy Deville for a new car, a small shitbox that gets good MPG. My mom needs Cruise, A/C, CD, and power windows/locks, and keyless entry if they have it.
06 Hyndai Accent:
Pros: Good A/C and Sound, Good price for what you get. Warrenty
Cons: Cramped, Noisy engine, with 4 people in the car and the auto we couldnt keep the thing under 3500 rpms.
07 Toyota Yaris:
Pros: Peppy engine, more room, spacious trunk 30/40mpg
Cons: Center gauge console, no tach, tilt wheel moves little
06 Toyota Corolla:
Pros: Firm ride, good power, refinement, 30/38 auto, 32/41 stick
Cons:??? not much
The corolla was by far the best, and it gave you the most for your money. My mom really liked a red LE automatic, for 17,890. I wanted her to test a Black CE, 15,506, it had all power, criuse, CD, but it was a stick. My mom hasnt driven a stick in about 15 years, and she doesnt want to start now. But i mean a few more MPG and she would save 2 grand. Besides who need the cheesy wood accents that the LE has and the lighted gauge cluster.
Just thought i would post my thoughts, we wont buy until the summer though and not here but in TX cuz you dont have to pay property tax on the thing.
