Quick question,

I'm upgrading from R12 to R134a, so far I have replaced my compressor, and reciever / drier.

As far as the compressor goes is there anything I need to do before I install it? I heard your supposed to fill it with oil and spin it by hand a few times... but im not entirely sure about the process.

anything else that should be replaced?

if its going to leak, its probably going to be one of the fittings or the condensor right?

Hmm I don't know that much about doing an R134a retrofit, but I believe these days you don't even have to do that. I was reading somewhere you can use HC12a or something like that, which is inferrably environmentally friendly (?) and compatible with R12 systems.

And yes I think leaks are most commonly found at connections, fittings, joints, etc.
