Search By Location

Is it possible to add a feature to search for people by their location? Or did i miss an already installed one?

I know of this, but i mean like by the info entered by user so you could search for them through the members list.

That's a good idea. I'd like to be able to shoot a PM to everyone in the area when we have a meet. :)

Looking at feasiblilty though, they'd probably only be able to narrow it down to state/providence.

We were doing testing on upgrading to vBulletin 3.x, however we lost our test database when we switched hosts last time and haven't dove into it again.

Honestly though, we rather like 2.2.9, and I can't see us upgrading unless absoluetely necessary. The data we'd lose just isn't worth the minimal gain, IMO.

Yes. In the testing we did, there were no direct upgrades for our trader rating system, our timeslip database, and our member map. As well, not that many troublemakers would care, our warning system data as well.

All members/posts would be fine, but a lot of tweaking would have to happen to make the board look like this one does now.

Saw a GA at the gas station today and I am sure I have seen a picture of his car on here but can't find it.
The "Search By Location" feature would be awesome to narrow my search.

What if we did a thing like the names to face thread? Just have everyone post where they are from? just a thought

I know I've handed out a few cards to permote the site and I would love to see if I get a hit on them.

We already have a names to faces thread in the newbie section. We also have a member map, but theres no way to make everyone use it.
