Ok here's the thing...I need to get a new exhaust system for my car...the stock one is falling off the car, it is all rusted out as well...
So...I need to know what i need to buy, I am looking at Borla for the mufflers. I would also like to get a hi flow cat as well...i don't know where to get one...
Also 2.5 inch piping
So..if anyone has done this exact thing please share some info..
Thanks

look at catco cats. they flow more than the stock, and you can find one easily in 2.25 or 2.5 pipe diameter. I don't know about piping, i just have a shop take care of that, lol. with 2.5, I think you'll lose some torque however your high end HP should increase.

generally people reccommend 2.25 for the best overall performance. But if you are planning on ever doing a turbo or SC on it, youll want the 2.5 for sure. Personally, I like as much low end as possible (even what little the 2.4 has), so I'm doing 2.25 from the downpipe back next week.

look for my post about my exhaust setup. I went with 2.5 but i will be doing other mods to support the larger piping. If your going to do bolt ons then 2.25 is all you will ever need.

2.25 for an I4. I'm going with 2.5 for my V6, though it's not really necessary at this point. I may be doing a 3400 swap though.

Summitracing.com carries Catco cats in all pipe sizes. Use the universal ones, no air tube. Should be about $60.

Yea,the CatCo cats are good for the money. Ive got a FlowMaster 80 series muffler on my 97(same motor has you) and its definately not helping my performance. Im changing it out and getting a MagnaFlow straight through 6inch muffler right after a Catco cat then 2.25 piping to the axel then an equal flow Y pipe after the axel. Also going with a 2.25inch down pipe to help eveything breath better until I get the TRS header
