Exhaust guys

Hey everyone. Im still looking to get the exhaust done on my grand am, but im running into a huge problem with the people around here that work in exhaust jobs.

What I want done is simple, just have it run like the GT style exhaust, only I want 2 1/4 inch piping. I got everything, High flow Cat and res, and the two mufflers. The only thing I need is the piece of pipe for the oxygen sensor.

So im asking if anyone here in the Southern Jersey Area or Philadelphia Area works in an exhaust shop might be able to hook me up here :P Anyone interested?

Well, i live in Deptford (Gloucester County) NJ, but i dont work in a shop, and therefore couldnt get you a super snazzy deal. I did, however, recently have an exhaust system put onto mine at a local shop - it cost $100 - but i also had them install a couple other small things at the same time.

You should be able to get a deal like that at just about any shop, but if you cant seem to find one, i went to "Tarrach's Service Center" in Woodbury, NJ.

Though, you might be in a slightly different situation - i have a '99, and therefore only one muffler. Im not as familiar with the '96s, but if its anything like the underside of the '99, there might not be much room for two mufflers. (Just ignore that if there is, i havnt looked under one in... well... i dont think i ever have.)

I highly recommend Mufflex in Trenton. I brought my car there from out of state (at the time) cause it was the only shop I could find in central or eastern PA / NJ that does Mandrel bending. They also do very nice pressure bends if you're not looking to drop quite that much. I had them install my parts and fabricate all the piping in between... from the head to the tips. The quality is great - it is obvious they spend time on details like tip ailignment, etc.


It's a little shop (only like 2 bays) but I'm very impressed with their work. It came highly recommended by others... it is a well-known exhaust shop. Don't expect them to be the cheapest by any means, but they will do it right.
