they do have a very good rep...but why would you want to get a WAI (warm air intake)?....no offesne...but it seems like all newbs get them when they first want to get an intake...i admit...i even got one too when i first got my car...eventually you'll want the CAI (cold air intake), because you get much better performance...and sound!...
you said you wanted to make your own cheap kit...well im offering you a piece of my old cold air intake...all you would need from there is a civic pipe which can be bought cheap off ebay..and a cheap filter off ebay too :)

haha Rick...i didnt mean to offend you ...lol... :) ...nothing but love.....and a whole lot of it...!! :D :) :D :) !!!
okay go to home depot..and buy it....it will be around $10, plus tax...plus gas to get there...plus going out of your way to buy it....plus making the stupid hole in it for the sensor....i thought i would give you a chance at some first class service....the part would be delivered to your home!....but its okay...someone else will want it.... :) ....
i know the piping is off a civic...but im not sure what year..someone clear that up for him please :)
