I don't know what all is new since I posted an update, but I got some new (but blurry) pictures from HIN on May 13. I have a trunk mat courtesy of my new sponsor granddesignmat and I had the center of my hood painted. I had the sideskirts and under the hood and trunk lid redone. I also got some billet engine caps but all my engine pictures turned out crappy. I just ordered my new wheels tonight so I will post up again after I get em.

Holy shit, how much money went into that, and how'd you get it? Can I have your job?

I work part time at Sam's Club. I've been working on it for 3 years and I don't have any bills, that's the only reason it has as much as it does. And I lost track at $10,000, and that was a long time ago.

I envy your ride. As much as I prefer my '73, I'm still just struggling to get the money together to make my car run, and it looks like shit. How much did your paintjob cost? I'm trying to figure out expenses for myself, so I hope you don't mind me asking you.

I've never had the whole car painted. I should have, but since I've done things 1 by 1, I've just had each thing painted along the way.

Huh. Well, crap. Whatever. I'll find out when I stop being lazy. And I'll stop buggin you with my envious questions.
The neon kicks ass, by the way. Neons, in my opinion, can make or break a car. I saw a black IS300 with really whitish blue neons once, and it was a sexy beast... But then the next day I saw a blue Camaro with darker blue neons, and it looked like crap. Your red on red (on more red) actually works, and the sound system looks like it would vibrate my windows to the breaking point.
I love the rims, too. I'm glad you didn't go get some black or dark grey ones or (even worse...) some red ones to match your car. And they actually look good, not just by themselves, but on the car as well. Rims, like the neons, are also a very "make or break" sort of mod, and you definitely made your car look that much better with them.
And finally, the kit you have on there is awesome. The front is a little more complex than the back, but not to the point where it looks off. The spoiler, thankfully, doesn't rival a park bench, and the fenders and side skirts just add to the look.
Overall, its an awesome ride. I'm just personally hoping you don't go get scissor doors or something on it... But its your ride. Enjoy it while you can.

Thanks for the comments, but those aren't my new wheels. The wheels I ordered are dark gey with (even worse...) some red. LOL I like the wheels I have now, but they stick out in the front because they are too wide with the wrong offset. I'm also not a big fan of the chrome, I think the dark wheels will help keep the tuner look of the rest of the car.

did you paint your hood like that other guy with the red GA?

Haha, sorry. Well, I'm not gonna be all ignorant and claim that your car is gonna be shitty looking. I'll wait and see.

The red is actually an outer ring that is interchangeable, removable, and paintable. So I could always paint the ring a different color. Plus if I curb the wheels, I can buy new rings and have the wheels looking good as new.

And urweak I don't remember seeing a grand am with a hood painted this way. If you have a pic I'd like to. I just painted it this way because I have friends who've painted the outside, but I wanted to do it differently than them.

Car looks good. This is the first time I saw an AAS car with the hood up, but I never really noticed before on the 92-95's or the 96-98's till I picked mine up but the gap between the rad. support and the bumper really needs to be covered by something. Greddy makes what they call air diversion plates, that do nothing other then cover that gap up. It hides all of that stuff down there you don't want to see, especially at a show.
I realize no one makes such a thing for Grand Am's, but if somone was to fabricate them It would definately take care of that gap.

Actually I really don't get sick. I've never had the chicken pox or anything. I have CC to pay off, but I don't really consider those bills. I just put stuff on there and turn around and pay them off, it's not like a mortgage that I have to pay every single month. I still live at home, that's why everything is pretty much covered.

Yeah I have seen plenty of people paint the outside, that's why I did the inside. When you said there was one painted like it, I assumed you meant painted in the middle since mine and Dustin's look completely opposite.

I was going to get a piece of c/f and cut it to fit over all that but it is freshly painted and I am waiting to decide on what I am gonna do with my headlights before I go covering stuff up.
I think it is one of the best GA in the world!

Looking at those tails make me want them more and now I have to wait
I am in the same situation about the headlights, except I have gaps to worry about from the hood
Are the mirrors wrapped in c/f ?
And I agree with you about the chrome. "You ain't got no Caddy"
As stated again, you make me want to spend over 10k in my GA.
On another topic, do people on the streets bash you because you have a sweet looking car but don't have the performance since it is a GA? It seems like the more people see my hood, the dirtier the looks get

Yeah people talk sh*t, but I don't care. I get enough tickets and drive wrecklessly as it is, I don't need a fast car. The mirrors are that fake ass c/f, but I plan on getting those small ones that are a real c/f.
Hey dude, what kind of front lights are those?
