Just clean up the kit, lose the SE ribbing, do a bit of molding )(as you said) and I bet itll be a show stopper soon enough, and maybe slap on some more primer jsut in case, one coat is not as protective (or as good-looking for the time being) as 2 or 3, also with rattle cans, soak them in 80-100 degree warm water for best ionization before spraying, prep the paint with plenty of tackcloth beforehand, and always spray WITH the body lines so any rattlecan imperfections wont seem as noticable (especially with flat black, that itsself doesnt hide many rattlecan spray marks)
I actually dig the flat black, but that may because Im weird, or Ive been influenced by Jay (jayhawk) too much

Looks Good!! I agree with removing the SE side ribs! That looks more prominent than the body kit itself on the side shots

My car will be like yours soon, in primer
Here is what I recommend (IMO) :
- Get GT door mouldings (they are molded all the way down to the side skirts)
- Shave the fog light holes below the grill
- Shave the two openings and the bottom of the kit
**I think these adjustments would make the ride have a cleaner and smoother look**
BTW:  Car looks really good and I am finally starting to like that Hood

im no painting expert, but isnt all the spray paint going to make it hard to lay down a nice paint job?
Rayinspikez
05-27-2006, 12:49 AM
um..its ok....cause when i get it done..he shaving it down the bare metal and starting from scratch so he can get ALL of the flaws out of..and then hes gonna remold the kit and all and then it will be a finished product..specially with the verticle door kit. and thanks alot for the comps. :)

i think they mean it doesnt match up with the style of the kit.
there are companies that sell hoods and body kits for the same car. Look at AED, they sell a full kit and then you can buy the hood to match.

I was thinking about getting that wing for my car, but I didn't think it was that ungodly huge. It looks a lot different than I thought it would on a GA. Makes me sad, because I thought it'd be the perfect wing, and it would if it was about 2/3 that size or so.
Nice looking car, though. Definately unique, and that's what counts!

Good Job !!
Painting your car flat black with spray paint is the new "in thing" to do, along with bodykits, neons, lambo doors, and so on to make your stock car "cool". So i guess your not a fan of his car? Im confused.

yeh the wing....it weights ALOT....my trunk doesn't even pop open anymore...so i just out the trunk on lockout....keeps my subs safe! ;) and thanks for the comps again! I think i may put a verticle door kit on the back as well..i was at a car show the other day....saw a few GAs...none with 2 Verticle doors kits...but the back doors..i will opposite. or maybe even suicide doors...idk yet.....i have time to think before my next majore car show.

PersonallyI think thats a rather shitty hood. It just looks so cheaply made because of the front fitment (by the bumper grilles).. theres a HUGE gap there, as far as I can tell from the dark photos. That alone would driv eme nuts to the point where I'd take that hood, hang it from a tree, paint a bullseye on it and pull out the shotgun :D.
Yes the style of the hood scoops isnt quite as bad looking as when i saw it as just the hood on ebay awhile back. I thought for sure that itd look absolutely atrocious with those curves, but they flow a "little" better than i figured. That still doesn't mean it's not cheaply made.... whoever made the mold for that hood did a HORRIBLE job on it.. pin on hood or no.
That would hte first thing I would fix... before doing anything fancy with the doors or anything else.

I agree with Paul because I am doing the same with my hood and I finally discoverd the problem, it will be an easy one to fix :)

ooooh i see the gap your talking about.....no, it wasn't the makers fault....fiber glass warps when it's shipped on trucks and the heat is bad..and thats what happened....same with my back bumper...and sorta with the front..but that turned out great...we made that bitch fit. The side skirts..there ****ed up...they have to be exstented...there not long enough..but for now how they are..will do...but i see the gap your talking about and it does drive me nuts..but that will be fixed...once i get my paint job. everything wrong that you see with my car..will be fixed...the back bumper...behind the wheel...the bottem of that part is annilated...it bottems out and hits all the time...specially if i have people in the back seat.....and my suspension is fine...its the bumper..i may have the dude shave them alittle higher and but make it look the same. Trust me fellas...when this baby is done it will look ****in sweeeeet!

I think it looks pretty decent so far and for sure lose the side moldings... and stop taking my idea's.. ... I have been getting lambo's on front and suicide lambo's on back... I was going to gullwing them all but that would mean me having to lose my sunroof and add in about 6 other heavy ass support brackets and alot of metal work and welding and so and so and so.. so I scrapped the idea... dont let people talk about your work so far because half of them dont have any idea what its like to do all the work themselves... and ummmm.. some people shouldn't talk about how anyones hoods look when theirs looks like total ass crack, and makes you wanna :barf: . GL with everything and keep in touch

hey i like your car. its pretty sharp looking. Im getting ready to put my car in grey primer and maybe do something funky to it and put some flat black slashes through it or something for the time being. I was going to paint my car and white with blue pearl but someone told me that it will not suit me because the paint will always look dirty. I dont know though im wanting to go white and blue in some way.

Natasha. Got a Car Domain page ?
Hmm.. my honest two cents.
I don't like it. If I saw it on the street, I'd be  and trying to take a picture to add to my "more money than taste" photo album.
Why?
-That spoiler looks like that universal fitment shogun or combat style one that every single ricer drools over.
-That huge gap between the front edge of the hood and the front grill.
-Those huge side openings on the front bumper. Now, that front bumper is not my favorite (looks like a catfish to me), unless that center grille is stuffed with a huge FMIC.. but no one ever does that. They usually leave it open so you can see all the support/inner body work behind it, which looks awful. Mesh up those openings at the very least.
-The hood is too angular to go with the GA. GA's have no straight lines anywhere, yet your hood is all pointy and angular and straight-lined. And fake hood scoops are silly.
-Neon underbody lights.. when is that fad going to go away?
Now, I generally don't like show cars in general, so that could be some of the source of my distaste. However, I can understand that people do compete in shows, and need to make their rides stand out. Ok, fine.
I hope that you fix that rear bumper, get a decent paint job, and so on, and don't half-ass the car..
