im goin to be changin my tranny fluid and filter very shortly, so i need to know how much it takes to fill back up. ive already searched and found nothin and i dont have a owners manual.

i read anywhere from 7 to 10 quarts to fill it back up, but it depends on how hot your tranny is when you empty it out. When I did mine a month or two ago, i put 9 quarts in, and the 'leveler bolt' took out about another 1/2 quart, so I used 8.5 quarts to fill mine back up. Changing the tranny fluid is suprisingly easy, just a PITA.

well i put in 7 qts, but havent checked the level yet. and yeah it really aint that hard to do.


where is this 'leveler bolt'?

our tranny's are different but the bolt should be the same. If your layin on your back, feet out the front, starrin up at the tranny... i forget, lol. It's slightly above the tranny pan, i want to say on the front left side area. When you have your car level you can undo that bolt, if some comes out you have too much in, or if none comes out your a little low.

wow, this sounds involved. im gonna have to find me some more jack stands cause there aint no way in hell im fittin under there without them.
