99+ headrests

I've been looking into swapping my 97 black leather head rests for the 99+ headrests but I can't find any in black leather. But will the headrest even fit in the 96-98 holes?

Ive no idea, I tried to get one off in a junkyard to test fit from an 01 to a 97 but couldnt figure out how to get it off, so i said screw it.... didnt try too hard though. someones gotta know

Im curious about this my self.. InsaneSkippy has a pair of head rests I would love to have in my GA.. only problem is that they are probably too big and would look rather dumb unless I modified my stock ones to look like his.

I know for a fact that they will not fit. for one the metal posts on 99+ are wider. And I havent really tryed but i dont think are headrests come off the seat.

Yeah i would agree the 96-98 headrests r boring. they r just rectangles with no features! thats y i took the innitiative and bought GT decals that r intended for dash accenting (customgrandam.com) and i applied them to my front and rear headrests and it dresses them up a bit, but not anything close to the 99+. if u heave leather its a nice, cheap dressup.
