View Full Version : Which Wheels Match My Car Better/Look Better?

Alright...I'm new around these parts. I can't decide between these 3 different wheels for my car and also whether I should get 17's or 18's. My brother said to get 17's cause the 18's can get bent easier. I dunno.

Just gimmie your opinions please.

Thanks again for all your input.

the pic of your car is not working. I dont think 18s will bend easier, if that was true the trucks with 20s, 24s, 28s would bend no problem, I think it all depends on how well the wheel was made, it also is always a good idea to try and avoid pot holes with rims.

I like all three choices but without a picture of your car its hard to say, personally I prefer chrome so I would have to go with choice #3. I think 18" would look better, what is on your car right now?:)

id say go for the eagles, there is a reason a large population of 5th gen owners have/had them on their GAs, those rims werent practically meant for the car :D

However te second ones look pretty cool as well... and well the first ones... are a bit over the top for my tastes, but Im willing to be they could look good on a black GT

Well i cant really tell without seeing your car but i like the 2nd ones. The Eagles look ok, and the first ones look likea knockoff of Konig's Unknowns.

But when it comes down to it, its your car and your choice in the end.

Sorry, apparently Webshots won't allow you to use their site for hosting...anyways, I also appologize for the double post in 2 different forums, but it won't let me delete either. Anyways. here's my car currently.

*Edit*
Oh and "DontPassTheFence", did you mean to say that the Eagles WERE meant for the GA?

wow, those headlights and painted double-post mirrors look AWESOME on your car! The grills are a nice touch, too.

I think option #1 would not look good on your car, its just too much. It seems like a lot of people have those Eagles on their car, and they look really good on a GA... But the second ones would look pretty badass if you had that black area painted to match your car.

I would go with the Eagles myself, but the second ones would look good as well. Of course, those Centerlines might look good, but will probably cost you a little more.

As for 17" vs. 18"... you'll be able to fit more rubber on the smaller rims, plus they will be a little lighter (and have a lower moment of intertia, the rotational equivalent to weight). More rubber means a better ride (it can absorb more of the bumps) and more protection from potholes. 18"s are obviously bigger, but you might decide that they look better on your car...

i have the 17" 077s chrome on my ga, same color as you, check my cardomain and you can get an idea of what it will look like

Yeah Rennation, those Eagles look amazing so long as there's a kit on your car.

I haven't decided yet if I'll actually commit to getting a kit or just spruce up my car enough to just have it look really nice.

Originally I wanted Option #1 without a doubt, but looking at those Konig Unknowns, they'd look even better.

BUT Option #2 I think just look the cleanest all around and are growin on me.

Sigh.

Oh...and you should sign onto AIM so we can have a GA chat. Heh.

Rennation, your car is stock ride height, right? I was unsure about getting 17" rims myself, I wasn't sure how they would look with the SC/T kit, but your cardomain is starting to convince me!

EDIT::
Also, what are the offset and width?
