Effective immediately, the Grand Am Owners Club (GAOC) and Custom Auto Accents (CAA) will no longer be associated with one another in regards to vinyl and related products. As a result, if any GAOC member has an outstanding order with CAA where you have already paid, we request you forward an email to 99grandamse@gaownersclub.com with "Custom Auto Accents" in the subject outlining the details. In this regard, it is anticipated CAA will fulfil any outstanding GAOC obligations but we have no control over this fact being they are a separate entity.
For all future Club vinyl requirements, we recommend Grafxwerks (http://www.grafxwerks.com/products/shop.php?part=GAOC1).

GAOC Rules #3.3
The Grand An Owners Club (GAOC) is not responsible for any purchase transactions that any member or non-member may enter into as a result of any forum submission made or from any advertiser listed. As a result, all said transactions are made at the member's or non-member's own risk and the GAOC will not be involved at any point regardless of the respective outcome. The GAOC encourages caution in all economic endeavours.

... as far as I know, CAA is still in business and will still offer their standard product but they will no longer be authorized to sell GAOC logo'd vinyl :(

Well it is good to hear that they are still in business because it is the only overlay made for the shifter, HVAC, and fog light switch

You may want to contact them BEFORE placing an order with them. Whatever you do, you do at your own risk. :(

what's the point of trying to contact them...they never respond to e-mails....have the adminstrators actually gotten through to them....If yes, do they plan on explaning what's going on or actually responding to e-mail

I have personally tried to contact CAA and am currently awaiting a reply ... as indicated in the above post, please outline any outstanding transactions with them in an email and I'll see what I can do.

yeah..took me a month to get my stuff when I ordered once..
Never again.
There is a diffrence between being patient, and being abused as a customer. CAA does nothing but take advantage of customers who have no control over the speed in which CAA sends out their products..if at all. It took until I filed a claim with paypal that they even RESPONDED at ALL.

We are working on all the outstanding orders and before everyone makes assumptions without knowing anything about us, here is a little explanation.
It is untrue that we are no longer in service. It is true that we are booked with orders. My wife and I have been running the business while in college and we both graduated and are working very time intensive jobs. It is the norm for me to work nearly 60 hrs a week at my job. As a result, we have to work in the orders when we have time.
In April 2006 we purchased our first home and have been very busy painting the inside and working on around the house projects. We have had time for about 6-10 orders per week and still have time to sleep.
We will continue to devote any time we have to produce orders; there may be a slight delay on them however. I don’t anticipate a backup like April 06 however because all home repairs have been finished.
Regards,
Chris Hodges

Maybe you should hire people to help you run the business..
Also, there's quite a few of us who placed orders well before April 06.. I know I for one waited for an order Dec-Jan...

You should at least be sitting down and throwing off a quick e-mail to each person that has placed an order... as you dont seem to EVER respond to anyone... even to Paypal conflicts....
Congrats on the house & all, your doing exactely what I want to do in the next few years... but if I was also running a business, I would make sure it is still being run properly to avoid getting a bad rap, like you do now.

He contacted me today (I sent an email about 2 days ago) and I am willing to give him a chance after he replies to the next email.
He is the only place that actually creates real overlays (not those stupid sticker ones) for the foglight, shifter, and HVAC controls
I am hoping to hear from you soon Chris

... in all fairness, I/we (Shawn and I) have no ill-will towards Chris but simply did not wish to handle the "questions" any longer ... I/we wish nothing but good things for Chris and his wife :)

I made an order on Saturday......received an email from him personally and shipping company to show the status of my order.
Just to let everyone know that he is all caught up and if you want to make an order...email him first to find out the waiting time :)

well I hope things aren't back to the way they were in the past....Placed an order three weeks ago and have yet to hear anything back..this wouldn't be a problem if I didn't select the e-mail other request option for several of the items I ordered....Is it too much to ask to receive an e-mail indicating that they've received the order and understand the instructions I e-mailed separately on what color/glow combination I would like. At least then you'd know that the order was received and when they thought they get the order done. I have a feeling at this rate I might have to contact paypal......and see about a refund since you only get a certain period of time to file a complaint.... Anyone have any recent contact with them?

couple years back i ordered grand am gt overlays for my other grand am from custom auto accents, and i ordered the ones i have now from ryan at grafxwerks, and i can say that the quality of hte overlays was much better from custom auto accents. the ones ive gotten from ryan are very flimsy and crappy and much thinner than the ones from CAA. the ones ive gotten from ryan are pealing on both sides cause they are so cheap.

Ryan stands behind his products. Have you contacted him directly about your issues?

My GrafxWerks overlays/inlays have been on for over 4 years now, and still look new. Contact Ryan with your concerns.

DOES ANYONE HAVE A RETURN ADDRESS FROM ANYTHING THEY RECEIVED FROM CUSTOM AUTO ACCENTS OR A CONTACT PHONE NUMBER FOR THIS GUY. 6 Weeks after ordering and paying, not a single reply to over a half dozen e-mails...like seriously...does the idea of customer service make sense or what..I'm seriosuly losing it....Someone please help me get in contact with him!!!

I've never dealt with CAA.
grafxwerks on the other hand rocks my socks off.
Good customer service....great quality...Fast shipping!
yeah, i just ordered the hvac and fog light overlays and was expecting to get AT LEAST an email saying they recieved my order, but a week later and i haven't heard anything, even after sending one asking how long it might take to recieve the products. I know this post is a year or two later, but i was wondering if anyone has had any contact w/ CAA and if they could help me out at all. Also, I didn't order through paypal, so I'm kinda hoping to get the products instead of getting a credit card company involved or something.

Each time I've attempted to contact him it has taken at least a couple of months for a response. Then I get a reply that says other things in his life are taking priority and he doesn't have more than a couple hours a week to work on products.
I had to involve paypal to get my money back so you'll probably have to talk to the credit card company. What I don't understand is why doesn't he just close down the site if he isn't making any products within a reasonable amount of time.

i sent him an e-mail offering to buy it all off him with no response. Still trying to figure out how he made the overlays and stuff, seems like it's multi layers of vinyl ontop of thin plastic but I can't tell.
Well, i got an email from paypal saying the stuff had been shipped. Interesting thing is that i didnt order through paypal but it's got a tracking number and everything so it cant be a spam (at least i don't think), whatever i figure it's best not to question it if it's gonna work out. This comes a week and a half after i ordered and still no response to my personal email so we'll see by this upcoming Sunday (at the latest) if they came through for me.
