... look what they gave me to drive for the next couple days ... I believe it is just the base version 300, but even so, it has plenty of creature comforts and had really impressive power coming from the 3.5L V6 ... I simply love the car as it is sized just right for me but unfortunately, the wife says "it is too big" ... anyway, thought you guys might like to see it :)

Like I said, I am really impressed with the power this thing has ... literally, I went out to pass someone from 50MPH and it "seemed" like nothing before it was at 110MPH :)

Kelly, recently RJ was driving a Charger and a Magnum, both had the V6 and it did seem lively in such a big car. I really liked both of them however the dash and interior is cheeper than cheeper. I'm amazed that people put down GM interiors so much when it seems that those are leading the way with cheep interiors but still selling like hotcakes.

... I agree John, it is no worse than GM in regards to the 'cheap dash look' but it certainly isn't any better either ... the more I drive it, the more I like it ... I bet the SRT/8 flies!!!!!!! :evil2:

I doubt it's a rental. Probably just a dealer loaner car/demo.

... it is a "rental" and they can monitor whatever they want as other than a "little speed" once and a while, I haven't abused anything, nor would I :)

I know im just givin you a heads up.
My girl works for 2 car rentals and ALL their higher end cars have an AIR system. They get a fax everytime you break a certain speed, brake real hard or leave the designated area etc.
Pretty cool system actually.

I found the 300 C to feel really hollow inside. It feels like a large pop can from the inside for some reason. I took a 300 C out to test it and was awesome looking good power but, just not a solid feel to it. That and I am not a fan of the mobster looking cars anymore. Too many people ruin the look of this car by putting 52 inch spinners on it. God I hate the "Thug" look or whatever you want to call it. My 5.1 cents.

... well, this one isn't the 'C' so of course the power isn't there but it does have enough to provide a little fun ... as far as not having a solid feel, I disagree as this thing actually has a great ability to corner for a 'big beast' and could easily hang the back end out if you wanted it to ... the 17s with stock tires seem to do a decent job are 270 degree off-ramps at 60-70 :) ... howling tires, yes but there was never a time it didn't feel "in control" ... as far as the looks go, that is really what does it for me as I love the "box appeal" but then again, I don't go for spinners or all that other crap either

I like the overall look of the car, the interior is (as everyone has said) cheap though.

I agree on the interior issue. I think the reason the car handles very well is because of the wide tires they put on their full size cars. My parents have a 02 intrepid. The tires were 16 and wide as f**k, Hugged the road like a bimmer. Pretty peppy too for having the 2.7L in her to. I'd still take a Grand Prix GT or GTP or either of them anyday tho. They handle just aswell, but to me seem so much sexier!!!

No I didn't mean the car fealt like a pop can on the inside. It was a very powerful, agile, beast for the size of the vehicle.
I guess I compared it to a BMW 3 series, I took out a 325 (Xi or Ci don't remember) right before I test drove the 300C. The BMW had a more solid feel to it when romping around in it. I felt connected and one with the car. The 300C felt hollow in the sense that it didn't have that weighty, strong, connected to the road feeling.
I have owned a Lincoln Town Car & Cadillac Deville, my first two cars, I know what a tank of a car feels like. They are weighty heavy, and float as if on air. So I guess in comparison to the 300C, I was expecting that same "Feel of Weightiness" when dirving the 300C. The 300C had that disconnect from the road where it didn't really feel like you were driving so much as just pointing the car and it went that direction, lol. I dunno hard to describe it. I liked the older model 300's for the way they drove personally, they looked like crap compared to the newer model.:fencing:
