i was bored.

with the way the upper intake looked... so i figured i had some sandpaper, was bored, and i had time... so this is what i came up with...

its pitted or has air bubbles when it was casted that go down pretty deep. more then i wanted to mess with....

Looks great. My one question, what is the manifold made of, and will the exposed metal rust?

Looks good. I'd clean i tgood, paint it with a cast like aluminum or just a flat gray/silver paint and then sand the letters so atleast it'll make the intake look like it's fresh and new.

It's cast aluminum and no it won't rust.
The rest is bare also, just unfinished.

Let me do some digging. I have an article that shows how to polish down (computer) chip casings to a mirrored finish. The casings are also made of aluminum.

I'll post it up and you can really wow some folks.
