Transmission Concerns

In the coming months, I'm going to start bolting on some after market parts for my 95 Grand Am V6.
I'm expecting to pick up around 50-55 hp and about 50 ft-lb from the bolt-ons.
And I've just started to wonder about the transmission.
Do you think I'd have to give the transmission any modifcations, like giving it different valves in the valve body?
Or will I just have to make sure the trans-oil is the kind that provides maximum protection and cooling for transmissions of modified engines?
Let me know what you guys think.

I would think the tranny would be fine with an extra 50 HP as long as it's not in poor condition to begin with ( and assuming you're not gonna abuse it either ) . Adding a cooler and changing the fluid and filter would be a good idea .....;)
