You should put them inside like you did with the first one :)
I think LED lighting looks a lot better when you can see the actual LED but rather just the light emitted from it.

yeh i thought abotu puting them in but th problem with that is oncethats done cups dont realy fit any more the only reasion i did it like that on the first one is cuz i never put cups in there (they get in my way)

I have to agree with Paul, I like LED's and lighting better if you can only see the light emitted and not the bulb/tube. It is interesting though, I think that you're the first to put LED's there. You should post a night time shot when you get a chance, I'm interested to see them in action.

easy fix shave the leds down. thats how mine were done and it worked fine. and i only had 1 led in each holder but should still work with 3. hope that helps you

i also painted my leds to match the console. since my console was white i painted it lightly with white and the led still emitted thru

Sweet. I've been looking at some LED work, myself.
Unfortunately, I have neither the time nor the patience to fabricate my own LED units.

lol, god i should stop being so lazy with leds i have all my vents done including the corner defrost. But i buy all my led's 12v prewired from wallmart. lol. kinda expensive but it beets resisters and all that crap. $10 can. for 4 leds. lol

its not so much that its easier just less time consuming and lazyness is a big factor.
