They are called Altezza lights or Euro lights or tails or whatever. you can get them on e-bay or just go a search.

those look like the PFYC 'bermuda' tails IIRC... they are widely avaiable and pretty popular, you might even be able to find them on ebay. But a google search for Grand Am Altezza tail lights would probably show about a dozen web sites to buy them from. Im sure http://www.pfyc.com has them, however

There's about five different styles of those type of tails. Check them all out before winning an auction. I think there's a pair of CF ones on the For Sale section.

'Altezza' only refers to the clear lens/chromed finish. The name comes from the car that made it popular, the Toyota Altezza.

The particular unit you are looking for is the In.Pro.Carware CTCE326C (or CTCE326CB for Black). You can find them here: LightLens.com (http://www.lightlens.com/pontiac.htm).

Hope this helps.

yes it should help prevent leakage and condensation within in the housing.

:iagree:

I used to notice a small bit of condensation in one of mine if it rained at night during the summer. Others have noticed it a lot more. Shouldn't hurt just to make sure

Extremely simple install. Get the carpet up, unscrew the assembly (by hand) , Push and twist to get the lights out of the assembly. Reverse to put the new ones on. If a noob like me can do it, believe me, it's SIMPLE!!!

There are a few who have them here. I know Paul has the chrome ones and he has them blacked out. Its on his cardomain site(sorry to reference your car Paul, but yours is the first one that popped into my head :D)

The ones for our cars is just simple 3 lense tail light....its not cool and shiny and alienish as those. no one likes our cars :(

BTW another thing you can do is tint your tails you'll still have the stock tails...but they will cooler! (Like Matt's car, DontPassTheFence) I plan on doing that later on...cheap and somewhat easy.

Sorry for the long comment.

My bad on those install instructions. Those were for 96-98. I didn't see that you have a 99+.

BIG word of advice, when installing, be very careful, do not pinch the wiring harness.
I was popping fuses and could not figure out why.
Turns out I pinched the power wire to the lights on the lh side.
Drove us nuts trying to figure it out.

K i got one of them installed and its doing alright but all the wiring is different from what they suggest for what ever reason and when i was trying to put the other one in i would get everything except a signel. The signel goes on an off rappedly similar to if one is burnt out but they arn't. has anyone had any sort of problem like this?

Some people have this problem, like trying to put LED bulbs in their turn signals and it just flashes really really fast...you need a load resistor.

if this doesnt help you maybe someone else can. Or do a search. :)

i dono i think its more along the wireing might be back words.... i dono i think im gonna just rip it all apart and rewire the shit the way i would like it to run, cuz theres only one bulb on each side that responds to the brakes being applied insteed of 2 or the 3 that get put inside the main cluster there. i dono should be a fun time learning how to do it, though will void any warrenty thats on them.
