According to www.paintscratch.com ...my car should have Manta Green Metallic Clearcoat as the color...and the code should be 37/WA204C.
I looked under the spare cover..and the only similar thing I could find was the U 204C ... which shares the same last digit as the other number.
Can anyone verify this as the paint.
BTW...I need some touchup done on the front plastic fender...Im asssuming this is the exact same paint as the rest of the car...

post a photo of your car for us to see which color it really is. Its ALWAYS possible that the spare tire cover isnt the original on your car, and that it came off a junkyard car by a previous owner. Besides, i "think" that 96-98 GTs only came in the darker manta green, and that the lighter green was only as option in the SEs.

Yea look at the 97 colors on that link... the only GT green is the dark one that you have. all the other greens are SE only options. So i suspect that you dont have the original RPO code list. Confirm this by checking the VIN on the RPO code list... If its not the same as the vin on your dash of vehicle title then you know the answer.

yea i think thats what my cover says. the 37 part is what you will see on the tube of touch up paint.

Mine is the Manta Green Metallic so if it looks like mine then it is. I'm pretty sure that the GT's that are green only came in the Manta Green Metallic

Yes, U 204c is correct. GM no longer prints the "WA" in thier code list tag. They now preceed your paint code with a "U" Although many paint companies still use the "WA". For example; I still have to input "WA" before any GM code in my PPG mix system computer.

Thanks everybody...your comments and pictures of nice96gt's car have pretty much verified it for me. This summer I plan to touchup some paint spots and start modding her a little....BTW what is the cheapest place you guys know of that sells this color? I know paintscratch does but im going to look around a little bit and see what deals I can find.
