I was going over the DRL disable How to and I just opened up the relay box under the hood...located the DRL one (#22 IIRC) and yanked it out.
No more DRL's ...no SES light.
Mybe to add on to the DRL thingy.

Heys hows this one for you guys wanna disable your DRLs on your 96+ go to your local GM dealer and ask them to use the TechII scan tool to turn them off, its really easy and should be really cheap if not free.
Just my 2 cents

For the 00 se you may need to do the grounding thing in the original DRL disable post.

Nope what? it doesnt work on your 01? i could be wrong about it working on all GAs 96 and up but I do know as long as the vehicle is equipped with OBDII (all makes and models 96 and up) with the dealer specific scan tool you can access the BCM. Ill look into it at work tomorrow, i havent played around too much with the tool but i would assume itd be the same thing, if not then i apologize in advance for not doing my research before posting

Sorry.. We know what to data to send to the BCM to disable it yeah, there's a procedure to do it.. but will dealers do it ? No... unless it's for a law enforcement car and requested on proper letterhead.
