I was just wondering if anyone is running the NGK iridiums in their car. I want to know how well it performs; I mean if the hype about iridiums is true.
I just finished replacing the Bosch platinum 2s that were in my car with NGK iridiums, because i thought the Bosch has seriously eaten away at my gas mileage the whole year it's been in.
I took the car out to highway and got it to 105. The engine definitely sounds smoother. I don't know, I think I might have lost some acceleration. May be it is finally time for me to get DHP.

ive heard bosch are just really bad for our cars, as far as the best for us i heard either iridiums or the stock delco ones , i have split fires in mine and it runs just as it did stock. i dont really think "the best" spark plugs make our cars run any better but shitty plugs are gonna make it run shitty. the dhp is worth the money if your looking to save a little gas as well as gain some performance.

You will NOT gain performance by changing spark plug. Replacing worn out plugs will new ones will help restore the power that was there from the factory, but there is nothing to be gained from so-called 'performance' pugs.

That said, most GM engines do not work well with any of the Bosch +2 or +4 plugs, due to the waste spark ignition systems. Those plugs tend to result in a rough idle and possibly poor mileage.

The NGK Iridiums are great replacement plugs, at least with the V6. I ran a set in my '99, and will be installing a set in my '03 very soon. But again, you will not see a performance gain from plugs alone.
