Ok. Like... A little over 2 weeks ago, I bought a 1993 Nissan Sentra SE-R for a daily driver while I worked on my '73 GA. A week after I bought it, it was stolen. Pretty shitty, huh? Anyways, earlier today, I found it while driving around. It was left unlocked, with the title still in the glove compartment (I learned my lesson there, and I got lucky), so I clubbed it where it was, but it won't start. Hell, it won't even turn over. It doesn't even make a sound when I try to start it. Everything under the hood looked intact, and all that was taken was the stereo (which was viciously ripped out). The dashboard was popped up a little bit, but it went right back into place. I'm not sure why it won't do anything... None of the lights work, it won't jump start, or anything. Any ideas/suggestions? I need help with this ASAP so that I can get it back home. Thanks in advance...

well this is the WRONG section -- buuuuutttt, Id say replace the battery and go from there, check for all wires, I bet the thief screwed something up. However, cheers to recapturing your car

Yeah, I wasn't sure where to go, but its a Sentra, and this is the place for all the other cars besides GAs, so I figured its my best bet. I'll try swapping the batteries, but I dunno if it'll do much. Thanks for the advice, though.

Oh this is all the rest, I was sure I clicked auto news -- whew.. then id say you are good, however youd get more people responding in off topics, but meh to that.

If batteries doesnt do it, alternator, starter, and ignition coils, spark plugs woudl be the next, in reverse order

Your battery cable attatched? Thief may have pulled it when he yanked the radio.

You say it doesn't do anything. How did the guy steal it, if he hot wired it maybe check out your ignition wires to see if tampered with those. Congrats on getting it back, maybe a car alarm next time would be a wise investment if auto-theft is on the rise.

Another thing, since the vehicle was new to you maybe check with the previous owner to see if he encountered this problem before. Checkout the solenoid or main fuses under the hood.
Good luck, keep us updated.

You said the radio was ripped out, could they have cut thru a main wire or shorted one out?
