OK i'm pulling my engine apart and i'm so confused..... It Seems that my piston has been hitting or JUST touching my cylinder head

It was burning oil and the piston rings are baked, so the Bowl is all brown and thick and crusty...lol... but you can see the clean aluminum ring where the piston has been coming up and touching the cylinder head.... Is this possible????

The marks are on the top and bottom , not the sides at all....I should post a pic, i'll try lata....
Maybe the Rings are baked and causing the piston to drag on the wall, turn a bit in the hole and the bottom of the piston is up enough to touch the head, then hitting and rocking, causing the top of the piston to hit... seems the bottom mark is larger than top...the case in a couple of the cylinders...

The engine block or heads have never been machined either

I highly doubt your pistons are coming in contact with the cylinder head. If they were you would hear it for sure. Not to mention all your valves would pretty much be bent and busted because the piston would come in contact with the valve before touching the cylinder head.

yeah it was dark when I got to that point, and now I see, there was a Nice thick crust built up on the pistons, and those are the points that hit the cylinder heads, and just the carbon came off....
Exposing the fresh aluminum and making it look worse...
I've almost got the engine out, and i'm gonna get the vernier and measure the bores and pistons etc.....

Thanks thou... and if you got any suggestions or anything please lemme know...

I'm just rebuilding the engine with a 3400 top end...
