I just wanted to verify before hand....
I should be able to buy something like this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GRAND-AM-2-4-3-1-3-3-3-4-AIR-INTAKE-1993-2005_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38634QQitemZ807383 7280QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW)
and then go buy some sort of flex intake tubing as Autozone to make my own CAI? Also how much does the tubing/clamps/ect... usually cost? Im sure I can do the installation...just trying to find the cheapest combo of parts possible :-p.

Try doing a search because there has been a lot of this topic for 92-98 3100's
This is one option...I created a how-to for it

If you want something cheap and you don't care if it looks cheap, just get some flex hose and some clamps and a high-flow filter and call it a day. Personally, if you are going to do it, then do it right.

Thanks, I had done a few searches and just wanted to verify the general idea. Since then I have looked around on ebay some more and actually think something like this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-00-01-02-04-GRAND-AM-Alero-V6-COLD-AIR-INTAKE-3-pcs_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38634QQihZ019QQitem Z8071161152QQrdZ1) might be chaper and of much better quality in the long run...
