Just replaced driver side 4x6 because my speaker was blown. The problem is that the speaker, when turned up sounds very low.I also have a tweeter by the the sideview mirror wired to this speaker also.My question is that i have 2 red wires and 2 black and red wires.I spliced each pair together and then attached them to the speaker.Didnt work.I did notice a small resistor looking thing on one of the wires.Should i take this out.I ran out of daylight today but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The resistor is actually a capacitor. Do NOT remove this. It is the "inline" passive crossover for the tweeter. Removing this will run the tweeter full range and blow the tweeter quite quickly. It will also introduce an effectively lower impedance to the HU (which I assume is stock?) and may overheat and blow the amp in that too. The tweeter should be wired in parallel with the speaker with the capacitor on [probably the red side] of the tweeter wires.
Wire the replacement speaker exactly as the original was wired. Is this replacement some aftermarket speaker or is it another stock speaker from the same year and sound system car? Having different speakers on the left and right side may cause a volume level difference (which is what I assume you mean when you say "sounds very low"?) as the speakers may have different sensitivities.
What you might have done also is wired the speaker along with the tweeter crossover (which you aren't supposed to) meaning the 4x6 driver might only be getting high frequencies and therefore not sound very loud at all. Again, you have to wire it exactly as the stock one was wired. If you can't remember how it was wired you can always take a look at the other side door speaker and see.

You really need to state what sound system you have to be a ble to help you for sure. Stock or after market? If stock is it the base system or the Monsoon? If it's aftermarket you need to state the head unit, speakers, amp(s) if any, etc. So we can go from there & be able to tell you without a doubt what's wrong.
