Help quick please!

Okay, so I'm puttin in my new Pioneer Premier 680MP HU tonight, and I get it all done and ready to test, and i realize that it has a ground wire.. and my old alpine did not. I cant find anywhere to put this ground wire so I can get my HU to turn on.. It won't turn on without it, I'm thinking.. Thanks for any help, or if some1 else has this same deck in a 96-98, and would tell me how they wired their's up, and grounded it.

How are you wiring the radiio harness into the car? There will bea ground wire in the vehicles radios harness.

If you bought a harness from a store...just hook the black wire from the new radio to the corresponding black wire in the car side harness. Your Alpine probably should have had a ground wire. No piece of 12v equipment will work in a car with out being grounded. It may have not been propperly installed and been getting ground through the antenna.

Like the guy up there just said....you need a wireharness....you can get one at wal-mart....its the Shosce series or something but it was like 9 dollars....plug in and connect....easy as pie :)

Just dont cut the wires from the car harness unless you KNOW what wires to connect.

It was either grounded through the harness or using a braided wire to the chassis, which is also ground.
